Machine
Machine is the current operational view of the computer, Pioneer profile, and model runtime. The compact bottom rail and the full Machine workspace use the same current sample; the full page adds history since backend startup and bounded technical disclosures.
What Machine can show
- hostname, operating system, architecture, CPU model and topology;
- current CPU and RAM use;
- GPU utilization, VRAM, temperature, and power when the platform reports them;
- Pioneer home, profile identity, and containing volume capacity;
- configured-provider reachability;
- Ollama version, installed inventory, resident model processes, loaded context, and expiry when available; and
- bounded backend, Memory, scheduler, and MCP component checks.
Installed is not resident, and resident is not proof of active generation. Machine does not currently claim CPU temperature, fans, durable monitoring, automatic alerting, or an overall health score.
Missing or stale telemetry
Optional values remain Unavailable instead of becoming zero. If a refresh fails after a good sample, Pioneer preserves the older sample and labels it stale. If the first metrics request fails, Machine shows a disconnected state.
Compare sample IDs if the full workspace and bottom rail appear to disagree. Persistent disagreement after refresh is a product defect, not normal evidence drift.
Use Models for model lifecycle actions and Settings → Runtime for the Pioneer-managed Ollama process controls. Machine owns observation, not durable provider configuration.
